A Special Halloween for Chouette à voir!

In view of the COVID partial lockdown in many zones, Chouette à voir! will not host a special Halloween day this year. But don’t worry, the team has prepared other safe activities for little ones and grown-ups!

In summary

  • Children drawing competition, ends on Thursday October 29th at 4PM
  • Online auction to become godfather or godmother to a rehabilitated bird of prey
  • Live release of rehabilitated birds of prey on October 31st, 1PM (on November 1st in case of rain)

Children drawing competition

Children aged 12 and younger are invited to draw their favourite bird of prey. Send the drawing by scan or picture (.pdf, .jpeg or .png) at concours@uqrop.qc.ca no later than Thursday October 29th, 4PM (EST). In the email, please specify the child’s name and age, city and phone number. The winner will receive a cute bird of prey plushie and a bag of candies! Moreover, the winner will become the godfather or the godmother of a rehabilitated bird of prey that will be released by our team live on Facebook. The winner will be announced in a live video on Facebook on Saturday October 31st at 1PM (or November 1st in case of rain), before the release of the said bird by our team. Good luck to all!

Activity for the grown-ups (but kids can watch, of course!)

On October 31st at 1PM, join us for a Facebook live where we will release some rehabilitated birds of prey! During the video, you can make a donation to helps us pay for the care and food given to injuried birds. The person who will make the highest donation during the entire campaign will become the godfather or the godmother of one of the released birds! The campaign will be launch on Facebook shortly before Halloween, stay put!
